Located in a former upholstery factory, this gorgeous apartment was recently brought to life by the Mark Lewis Interior Design studio. Hoxton Square features various industrial elements that combine with a range of vintage details as well as with reclaimed décor pieces to create a stylish and chic living space. Here, the past and present coexist in harmony. Exposed brick, rich textures and original structures blend with elegant furniture and clever design choices.

Contrasts abound throughout the home. In the kitchen, marble and bronze surfaces appear alongside unfinished brick walls. In the bathroom, a concrete shelf sits underneath a mahogany mirror frame. Custom cabinets made from vintage floor boards and reclaimed wooden flooring complement Victorian radiators. Ingenious details include the transformation of an old elevator shaft into a wardrobe, complete with vintage oak doors and antique brass handles, as well as the addition of a modern temperature control system in the traditional pantry. Reclaimed hardware along with handles and brackets made by the studio give the furniture a charming finish. An ode not only to heritage but also to the building’s industrial past permeate the living spaces, giving Hoxton Square a distinctive old-time charm. Images courtesy of Mark Lewis Interior Design.
