New York photographer Ted Sabarese has finally ensured that we have become what we eat, or at least what we want to eat, in his new Hunger Pains portrait series. Each culinary item his models craved most at the specific time has been reshaped into something that binds them to their desires, serving the will of the stomach above all else. Not only was each garment assimilated to fit a specific body type, it was also cooked and prepared as though it would have been served. The gown of artichokes in particular took six hours to assemble on a standing model, whose appetite surely dangerously grew with each passing minute.
