Because camouflage is important to capturing the prey, Hunting Lodge effectively hides its presence underneath the guise of the earth. A place for visitors and sporting individuals of Lednice na Morav? in the Czech Republic, the one-story lodge designed by BASARCH hides itself as part of the terrain, with green grass covering its roof and a stony mask on the building’s façade. The interiors, however, are a departure from the rural for the pastures of minimalism. Textured concrete and a skylight establish a neutral palette, and the black metal fireplace is yet another step toward the contemporary. And of course, what hunting lodge would be complete without a display of antlers and prizes won?
