Dressed in Italy’s best, city slickers visited the glory days of Atlantic city. “Easy on that splash of water, Frankie. I want mine good and stiff. Now where was I? Oh yes, four thousand nine hundred ninety nine, 5 grand! That’s a good winning, don’t you think, love?”
Its no surprise that we are still reaching for the finer things tucked in the shops of Italy. Since 1862 Barbisio has been covering heads with the most dashing designs. A collaboration with Henny Van Nistelrooy has brought us Il Cappello della Luce, a traditional trilby made of fur felt. The color block pattern hits the hat in all the right places creating a dramatic affect. Inspiration stemmed from a comic strip wardrobe found in Frank Miller’s Sin City where the main character used different hats to portray his emotion. Something we might be tempted to try…as a good excuse to buy more of these fabulous hats!
