Last year, Canadian Journalists for Free Expression released a photo campaign called “Information is Ammunition.” Originally led by the Toronto communications agency Juniper Park and copywriter Matt Hubbard, the project displayed photography gear arranged in the shapes of guns. The images address the importance and power of media in confronting the reality of war and crime. Resonating across the world, “Information is Ammunition” inspired these subsequent pictures by KOE of France, Jim Boer and Victor van Dijk of the Netherlands, and Robert Faubert of Canada.
