Introducing The Huskee Cup

You may passionate about drinking only organic, ethically sourced coffee. But you may not be aware that the coffee industry creates up to 1.35 million tons of waste per year, which corresponds to about 6.6 pounds per every average coffee drinker. That’s a lot of waste for a good cup of joe. Thankfully, a Sydney-based brand has come up with an ingenious solution to solve this problem, joining other designers who brought recycled coffee designs into the spotlight. Introducing Huskee Cup, a product made of discarded husks left over after the bean milling stage. Comfortable to hold, the cup also features fins that help with thermal dispersion. Meaning that you can get your hands warm holding a hot espresso without worrying about mild burns.

Huskee Cup is durable and high-quality, providing many years of use, even in a busy coffee shop environment. Crack and chip resistant, the cup is conveniently dishwasher safe as well as stackable and recyclable. The Australian brand released the design on Kickstarter. Unsurprisingly, the campaign surpassed its initial goal almost four times over, with a week still to go at the time of writing. Backers can grab one of the cups before the rest of the world. The 6oz, 8oz and 12oz cups come with universal saucers and have a shipping date set for February 2018. Photographs© Huskee.
