Italian Designs Play Upon the Notion of Time

Created by Sovrappensiero Design Studio for Incipit Lab, this trio of designs plays upon the notion of time. The Roll is calendar that hangs on a beech wood spool. The oversize design comes in earthy colors of green, blue, and taupe. Artico, on the other hand, is a set of two ceramic containers, one finished in black and the other in white. The origami-esque decoration atop the dish reflects on the mirror like the shadow of a sundial. Last but not least, the Clip is a clip-on clock that draws inspiration from the Latin phrase Tempus fugit, typically translated to mean “time flies.” The tactile design has a soft face and sleek two-hand movement, gently contrasting texture. Altogether, the three designs are a powerful Italian collaboration and exploration of time in contemporary spaces.
