When the powder is fresh you know you can’t resist to cut through the mountainside on your board, leaving everyone else in the dust. Woohoo! Feel the rush! Long time boarder Jesse Loomis took a break from the free ride for a period of time to settle down and have a family. His kids took interest in the sport, so of course, dad had to pull out all his sweet moves. He grabbed his board (a Burton Elite 150 from the 80s) headed to the hill behind their home in Vermont and after twenty rusty years he was glad to say…yup, still got it.

Something sparked inside Jesse Loomis that afternoon. That bitty taste was all it took for his inspiration of PowderJet building beautiful wooden snow boards with unprecedented performance. He says, “They’re built for getting you out into the powder and they’re made to encourage you to go out looking for powder. It’s about getting out in the mountains and actually getting in touch with nature.” These wooden boards called Gypsy are made specifically for powder in two sizes: just smaller and just larger than 5 feet long. Their surfboard-like tail, smooth and edgeless body is made for the perfect snow, giving you the perfect experience with easy turns and a chill ride. Another version, the Cleaver, is designed with metal trim to cut into icy conditions and hard packed snow.
