The John Green Otis Furniture Collection

An elegantly minimalist and versatile furniture collection created for modern living spaces.

Following a mission to create “innovative and functional designs with timeless appeal”, York, British furniture and design studio John Green has designed Otis, an elegantly minimalist and incredibly versatile collection. This John Green furniture range comprises both seating and tables, all designed with ergonomic curves, clean lines and rounded corners. The first product in the collection, the Otis chair features a solid oak frame and a molded plywood seat and backrest. This versatile chair looks at home in a family dining room or in an office. Additionally, it stacks to occupy less space in storage and to make moving more than one chair easier. This chair comes in a range of colors and in all-wood or upholstered versions. A tube version features a black-painted metal frame and legs instead of solid wood.

Apart from the Otis chair, this John Green furniture series also comprises a stool and a bench – both made with or without upholstery. Finally, the Otis tables come in solid oak or with a FENIX top. Versions include a dining table and a round coffee table. Like the chairs, the tables come in different colors, including natural wood finishes. In addition, the dining or meeting room tables comes in sizes that can seat from 2-4 people to 8-10 people in comfort.

The Otis furniture collection comes to life in the studio’s York design space and workshop. The company maintains a hands-on approach throughout the creation process, from the first concepts and sketches to working prototypes. Then, it partners with expert manufacturers who share the company’s sustainable ethos. Made through a process that minimizes environmental impact, the John Green furniture collection is as eco-friendly as it is elegant. Photography © John Green.
