KLU 1 Chair

Inspired by the strict rules of the Japanese hokku, the KLU 1 Chair features a minimalist design that celebrates the beauty of simplicity and the power of pure design. Created by designer Nikita Bukoros for Ukrainian brand ODESD2, the chair has a distinctive character thanks to its geometric shapes and simple volumes that also enhance its stability. “This model is my tribute to Japanese craftsmen and modern masters George Nakashima, Minoru Nagahara, Shuwa Tei [and] Keiji Ashizawa. I tried to create an expressive shape using a minimum of methods and lines,” says Nikita Bukoros.

The chair’s legs widen at they reach the floor, providing optimal stability as well as giving the seating an eye-catching accent. Graceful curves and clean lines enhance the design’s minimalist aesthetic and complement its inherent solidity, while also ensuring that it stands out in any modern interior. Made of ash wood, the KLU 1 Chair ages with its owners, becoming even more charming and full of character over time. Photographs© ODESD2.
