“Meta” in concept, the London Undercover umbrella stand derives its form from the very object for which it is designed. The twelve slats of oak wood are loosely bound together to create an elegant container in which wet umbrellas can dry. Handcrafted by Callum G. Robinson of Method Studio, the umbrella stand uses a webbed net to suspend the umbrella midair, allowing both the soggy umbrella and the stand to breathe. The stand is stylishly cropped at a bias near its top, which gives it the needed flair to transform from just a functional piece to a work of art.
