Verona-based designer Paolo Cappello is no stranger to speakers. We previously wrote about the gorgeous Louis Speaker and the ingenious Caruso wireless gramophone. Now Cappello designed Luciano for Newblack. This Bluetooth speaker takes the minimalist aesthetic to a new level while also paying homage to traditional Italian craftsmanship. Surprisingly, the speaker is entirely handmade. This includes the casing and the high-quality audio system which guarantees superior sound clarity through the use of premium components.
Made in Nova, an Italian town renowned for its ceramic products since the 1700s, the ceramic casing complements the modern audio system. The Bluetooth Luciano speaker works with iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux. It comes in a choice of beautiful colors that include black, red and ivory, with matte or polished finishes available. For those who prefer their speakers to have a bit more glamor, Newblack also offers a 24k gold option. Photo credits: Paolo Cappello and Newblack.
