Marbel Electric Skateboard

Marbel is a smart and slender electric skateboard with a black carbon and kevlar deck and blue wheels. Hailed as the lightest electric vehicle on the market, Marbel weighs just 9.9 lbs, making the design easily portable. The board travels at least ten miles per charge and powers up in an hour and a half. Challenging the bike for its position as the de facto means of short range transportation, Marbel reaches speeds of up to 20 mph and connects with one’s smartphone to customize the top speed and rate of acceleration. The innovative design has garnered more than twice the requisite funding on Kickstarter, and the first batch is sold out. Nonetheless, the campaign will continue through Thursday, June 19 2014, and boards from the second run are priced at $1,190. With enough support, the developers will be able to include additional options for all buyers, including larger wheels, higher top speeds, and a faster charger.
