Italian artist Andrea Petrachi, also known as Himatic, builds lively gizmos with personalities that surpass their everyday materials. The miniature sculptures are amalgams of “things most of people simply throw away”—from old camera lenses to defunct razors to rubber ducks. Himatic describes his art as symbolic of “our out-of-control desire to buy things.”
