Milia Seyppel of Hamburg, Germany designs beautiful bowls, vases and lamps. Her craft is spectacular with flawless curves in soft tones that sooth. Each collection has a special kiss of character with the bowl lids bounding high for storage, the vases individually marked from time on the potters wheel, and the lamps encompass us with peace even when not in use, their plump shades hung with elegance. Her process is always strategically executed, making sure to get it just right starting with pen and paper. She says,”I always start my design process with drawings, sometimes very abstract. I draw and build models. I think things over and over again. When I’m sure of something, then I draw it in 3D and produce technical drawings.” Along with her own studio creating these fabulous designs, she has also partnered with Laura Straßer presenting a phenomenal project called Frenchknicker.
