In the city of Lima there are 8 million and 432 thousand citizens, in which isolation, street violence and lack of information cause a vast social gap between one another. This large Peruvian capital is also recognized by its cultural, ethnical and religious diversity, shown in this magical series of 50 family portraits. Mírame, Lima is a collaborative project between photographers Jaime Travezan and Morgana Vargas Llosa with art director David Tortora.
Creative minds working together to opening a dialogue within people, and awaken their curiosity, thus allowing them to get to know each other. An invitation, if you will, to explore the city with a more optimistic and positive tone. Families open up their hearts and homes, showing their favorite belongings and playing the role of their own lives. The local tailor, the next door neighbor, the farmer and his wife, the family of boat builders… MÍRAME, look!
