The Miss Holly Klädd Chair

An elegant and versatile update for a popular seating design.

Celebrated architect and designer Jonas Lindvall recently unveiled a new version of his popular Miss Holly chair design. Originally created for Swedish brand Stolab, the chair provided a new take on the Windsor chairs; it also brought an elegant, subtly feminine grace to the classic design. Now, the popular dining room seating becomes more versatile and modern. The Miss Holly Klädd chair features the stylish curves of the original, but adds upholstery to the all-wood frame.

Wrapped in fabric, the backrest and seat offer optimal comfort, while also softening the ultra-clean lines of the wooden version. This modern update also makes Miss Holly ideal for residential living spaces or offices in equal measure. Solid oak legs complete the design. Available in various fabric colors, this design also comes in leather and even in a COM version.

“Miss Holly Klädd was born out of a combination of wanting to take the family beyond the dining room and to further expand on my investigation into upholstered furniture ranges for Stolab, which began with the Wrap chair. I wanted to create a modern chair that is elegant, extremely comfortable, yet quite modest in terms of weight and size. It was also important that it should possess the versatility of being both formal and informal at the same time – a chair that works just as well around a conference table is it does around the dinner table,” explains Jonas Lindvall. On show at this year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair at the Stolab stand, the chair will appear alongside a new version of the Miss Holly table. The fair runs between 6-10 February, 2018.
