Inspired by the art of paper folding, Motek Chair has two such folds of its own, such that the resulting three panels form the seat, the chair back, and a cute decorative flourish at the very end. From the chair’s clean profile, one can almost make out the metaphoric fold lines, which are a subtle design accent, on the chair’s very surface. Also mimicking the dog-eared corners of papers, the seat, which comes in varieties of gray felt or black leather, has a gentle lip that makes lounging in Luca Nichetto’s design even more comfortable. The pressure-molded construction keeps the chair lightweight, as do the sleek legs of the chair that are available as wooden additions or metal accents.
