Ladies and gentlemen, we would like to present the Mozartkugel Music Box, an operatic bauble in the shape of a bomb. A paradox, the design is an artful and grownup take on the classic childhood toy. The solid wooden ball is pierced with a vintage-inspired metal key. With a turn of the key, the toy plays Mozart’s “Voi che sapete” (from The Marriage of Figaro) using an impressive 18-note mechanism. The design was thought up by Adam + Harborth of Siebensachen and manufactured in a remote village in Germany. Made of premium quality wood, the music box comes in light beech or dark oak and is finished with a satin wax. $69 at GSelect
