Naihan Li and The Crates

Stackable, moveable, folding furnishings make the most of the space we have, or rather have not. The essentials in The Crates are supplied from wardrobe to casual chair, a honeycomb shelving system and chest of drawers. Emerge yourself in the contentment of less, the willingness to move freely with life’s winds of change. Designer Naihan Li is an architect from Beijing who created this series in reflection of her own mobile lifestyle and in memory of the millions of Chinese workers who migrate each year. She says, “All my creations are designed to improve the life I’m living right now.  To do that you need to understand what life is about. It’s a process.”
