Nike’s New Air Max LD-Zero H

Back in 1987, the first Nike Air Max 1 made history as the first shoe to actually showcase the air caught inside the sole, a technique used by the company since the ’70s. Designer Hiroshi Fujiwara is the founder of the famed design studio Fragment and one third of the elite Nike HTM design team. For 2016 he offers a fresh take on the popular footwear, inspired by the past and by one of his favorite Nike designs, the LD-100. “I wanted to create something that would resonate with people who are interested in classic styles,” Hiroshi Fujiwara says. The new version takes the LD-100-inspired Boston which had an iconic clean and minimalist look, and the flexible Air Max 2014, combining them in one piece. The retro suede-over-nylon materials feature navy and white tones along with black details, all lending a sophisticated and urban-chic accent to the design. The new Air Max LD-Zero H comes with a flexible upper, a suede heel and leather back tab, a lightweight construction, and Nike’s Flywire technology, which guarantees a comfortable fit. The new model is now available to buy from Nike’s online store and from select retailers.
