“Not Red But Green” is a man-made, indoor hill that was exhibited at the No Place Gallery in Oslo, Norway. Created by the Norwegian artist Per Kristian Nygård, the spectacle required daily watering to grow to its fullest form. Simply but laboriously made, the sculpture blankets a wooden structure with steep little slopes of soil and grass grown from seed. An experiment in crossing art and poetry, the verdant piece takes up space in a room of the gallery, which was styled after a country home.
