Outsiders Plush Toys by Atelier Volvox

Samuel Coendet and Lea Gerber of Atelier Volvox collected plush toys of various forms and sizes from second-hand shops and forgotten corners of nursery schools and gave them a new life by opening, reversing and re-sewing them. With this process, the old and worn out plush toys become “brand new” again, with a slightly different look. Despite their bizarre appearance the outsiders are still friendly and adorable like their original look. The series won Recycling Design Preis 2012 in Germany.
