Introducing genuine glee: the Pibal. What we have here is an excellent new concept, a part bicycle part scooter designed by Philippe Starck and Peugeot Cycles for a bike sharing program in Bordeaux, France. All the joy in riding on two wheels is amplified by the sunny yellow tires made for style and safety, cause no one’s going to miss seeing you pass by this time.  And if that doesn’t make you smile, maybe you will for the handy dandy store age rack over the rear tire or the convenient platform to rest your feet when scootering. It’s a practical matching of exercise and leisure, environmentally pleasing and commuter satisfying. In the words of Starck, “Pibal is an answer to new urban ergonomics, thanks to a lateral translation which allows oneself to pedal long distances, to scoot in pedestrian areas and to walk next to it, carrying a child or any load on its platform.”

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
