Pigreco and Pigreco for HENRAUX & RIVA1920 are two finely crafted stools by the Italian designer Francesco Meda. The former is a pair of stools combining layers of white, gray, red, black, and bluish marble. Nine varieties of the stone are used in all. A softer take, the latter design softens a Versylis marble base with a Cedar wood seat. The materials contrast hard and soft density, matte and glossy finish, and warm and cool colors, just to name a few of the differences. Yet, they are both naturally striated so that there are lines of similarity and visual interest running between the two.
