Chris Sorensen creates such a visual journey to Sri Lanka through his vibrant and poignant photographs, a narrative mix of portraits, candids, and landscapes. In one photograph, fishermen are frozen in motion, precariously balanced just a few feet above the watery blue. Rows upon rows of Hindu deities wave a friendly “hello” in another, while elephants stomp joyously around a water basin in a third.
