Poppins by Alessandra Baldereschi Design Studio

There is a certain tediousness in the existence of throw pillows, as they have to be moved to make room for actual sitters, and yet a couch looks bare without them. Italian designer Alessandrabaldereschi Design Studio proposes a witty solution with Poppins. Instead of having pillow and couch be separate entities, cushions are built into the seat and back of the furniture to create the illusion of luxurious pillows. The strategic patterning, colors, and forms of these patches and stripes generate a satisfaction for the eyes, and convenience for the tush.
