RE-USE is Global Architects’ renovation of a top-floor apartment in the Netherlands. The architects exposed the original brick panels and concrete firewall and brought in a bevy of new elements—stainless steel cabinets, untreated timber floors, and beds elevated on wooden pallets. They textured the space with decor as well, making use of vintage items such as the living room heater and bathroom sink stand. The resulting flat is liveable as well as detailed, being partially divided by closets and built-in shelving. Altogether luxurious, the urban home also features a balcony, so that one can step outside and enjoy a top-floor view of the city. Photography by Mirko Merchiori.
