In this electronic age, print is becoming less popular; but newspapers, do not despair! Artist Jay Watson celebrates newsprint in Read All About It, which transforms the form of publication into interior design. Each of the pieces – a cubic stool, and a pendant lamp – is made entirely of newspaper. For the seat, the outside is woven from folded sheets of newspaper and then filled with a soft interior of crinkled strips. And just to prevent the words and images from fading, the newspapers are treated with a binder and fire-retardant finish. No need to pick up other reading materials when using the seat and lamp; they provide ample entertainment!
