The Reflect Kitchen

An elegant kitchen designed by a world-famous architect.

Established in 2014, Danish kitchen brand Reform collaborates with internationally renowned architects and designers to make minimalist and timeless kitchens. For one of their latest designs, Reform turned to Paris-based architect Jean Nouvel. Believing that architecture is an art from and that art should be a part of everyday life, not just museums, the world-famous architect creates narrative through spaces that are distinctive as well as contextual. Designed for the places they occupy and the people that will use them, Jean Nouvel’s architecture projects often create a symbiosis between light, shadow, and transparencies. The Reflect kitchen follows the same path.

A perfect blend of refined style and function, the design has an architectural quality thanks to its clean lines, vertical lines, and reflective steel surfaces. The use of polished metal along with the pattern of the ridges create a play between lustrous and dark surfaces. The effect becomes even more striking – and dynamic – when admiring the design while moving through the kitchen space. Plus, the design works well with the Reform Kitchen Cabinet System or with the popular METOD kitchen from IKEA.

Monochrome versions that fit into any modern home.

Made to fit into modern living spaces with ease, Reflect comes with monochrome, high-gloss fronts. Customers can choose between either gray or black. The latter option comes with a durable PVD coating, but both variants boast a clear, anti-fingerprint varnish. This coating protects the surface from impact and daily use. Likewise, the countertops come in long-lasting, brushed stainless steel – the material of choice of many professional cooks – or in smooth and soft Fenix laminate. The Fenix laminate option is highly resistant to scratches while also providing an antibacterial work surface. Like the anodized aluminum that frames the fronts, the handles are made from an extruded aluminum profile. The handles have a vertical orientation on the doors and a horizontal one on the drawers. Whether in silver gray or black, Reflect adds a dazzling, sophisticated accent to modern kitchens. Photography© Reform.
