Ring Soap

Back in 1994, German brand Authentics commissioned Sebastian Bergne to design a soap dish. The designer came up with a clever solution that eliminated the need for a soap dish altogether and introduced an innovative concept. Thus, the ring soap was born. The ingenious design combined a ring-shaped soap with a peg support, providing a modern, practical, and decorative solution to traditional products. The soaps remained dry in between uses, lasted longer, and also became an eye-catching décor feature in a bathroom or kitchen.

Sebastian has recently relaunched the design and updated the ingredients list. The subtly scented glycerine soaps are made in England and they’re high quality, moisturizing, and vegan; gentle to the skin, they’re also never tested on animals. Two versions are currently available, one with a fresh citrus scent and a pale emerald hue, the other boasting a dark amber color and a perfume that blends vanilla and spices. The aluminum peg is easy to install using the included sticky pad, which is moisture resistant. The soaps are ideal for those who love high quality skin care products but also have a soft spot for good design that transforms the ubiquitous into extraordinary. Buy here.
