Seung-Yong Song Furniture

Korean designer Seung-Yong Song took a collection of ordinary objects such as chairs and sofas and put his own spin on it. Inspired by his childhood experiences, he developed additional uses for these objects at the same time giving these objects a fresh and stylish look. For example, he created a chair that would also provide personal space for the user; this creative design is thinking outside of the box and answers to those who desire cozy and interesting pieces in their home. For those who always climb on a chair to put something away on the shelves, Song has combined those two pieces of furniture and created this one of a kind chair shelve, it utilizes spaces in a strikingly unique manner and is definitely a head turner. All the other objects in this collection use materials and forms to balance each other such as lightness and heaviness, lines and lumps, smoothness and roughness, a collection that will have you look at home furniture in different light.
