SimINN is a flight simulation center located in Stuttgart, Germany; it offers users a full technical performance and visual experience of flying a Boeing 737 without leaving the ground. In order to recreate the most realistic experience, there’s a huge wall of graphics that’s a full size replica of the Boeing 737 cockpit complete with the illusion of an entire plane on a runway, all of which in an interior space. The painted and physical airplane parts line up to form a whole from the entrance and the lounge area, if looked at from a different angle, the architecture becomes abstract and creates a form of fragmented interior decoration. Beside the wall paintings, floor graphics further extend the runway like feel of the space elevating the atmosphere further more. The distorted lines match visitors’ movements and complement the angles of the design.
