Skateboards Upcycled from Bourbon Barrel Planks

View all 5 Photos

Young brand Hepcat is rolling out two sustainable skateboard designs: the Jive cruiser board and the Flip freestyler. Both models feature salvaged bourbon barrel wood, which comes cut and curved in a way that looks rustic and feels balanced. In the pre-made versions, the wood is paired with brightly colored wheels for high-contrast style and a smooth ride. However, for buyers want to build their own ride, the deck is also available by itself. Support the repurposed designs on Kickstarter to find out of the boards smell like bourbon, too.
