SOCKER Greenhouse by Sarah Fager / IKEA

For those who are missing a little green in their lives, Swedish furniture company IKEA delivers a quick solution: the SOCKER Greenhouse. As is the case with other home items in the SOCKER series, the miniature greenhouse features a sturdy, powder-coated steel frame that is easy to clean, and also complementary to a range of interior décor. Designed by Sarah Fager, the gabled polystyrene box has roof panels that can remain open or closed, allowing temperature and oxygen control while nurturing the tiny seedlings and sprouting greens. A single unit is perfect for growing a few teacup plants, while an array of units can house a thriving garden for green-thumbed gardeners. The ready-to-assemble greenhouse is wonderfully portable, with dimensions that easily fit on a kitchen countertop or a nearby bookshelf. How refreshing and delightful to have a healthy patch of spring all year round!
