The Spacepot Hydroponic System By Futurefarms

If you like the idea of homegrown herbs and veggies, you’ll probably fall in love with Spacepot. Designed by LA-based Futurefarms, this ingenious hydroponic grow system doesn’t require electricity, pumps or fertilizer to work. Instead, it relies on the Kratky method, using nutrient-rich water to allow the plants to grow at a rapid rate with minimal effort from grower. As convenient as it is sustainable, the system was originally researched by NASA and it’s now used not only by amateur cooks and foodies, but also by Michelin star restaurants. As a bonus, Spacepot looks minimalist and elegant as well, which is certainly great news for design lovers.

Handmade in sunny California, Spacepot comes with a high clarity acrylic pot, an organic Growpod, nutrients, and seeds. The user only has to add water and nutrients to the pot before planting the seeds. And then wait patiently for about 5-6 weeks, until the herbs are ready to add flavor to delicious recipes. You can find Spacepot on the brand’s official website. It comes with a pack of basil seeds and an 8 month supply of nutrients. Photo credits: Futurefarms.
