The United States of America, the melting pot of the world, home of the free, land of the brave, with streams, desserts, canyons, mountains, beaches, and plains of wheat, this is our home. Diverse in so many ways, split on so many political issues, full of a variety of faiths and convictions, hot for its entertainment and wild city life.
Julian Montague was asked to provide a series of images representing all 50 states for A challenge he was up for, creating one specific image to represent each state in imagery and color. They are bold and meaningful. Depicting proud icons of our history and heritage, most come from nature itself like birds, grains, minerals, animals.

A cluster of juicy blue and violet berries represents abundant Maine. The ever alert Loon pierces through the purple background of Minnesota’s print with its black body, notable neck rings and beady red eye. New York perfectly centers a crisp red delicious apple, big and impressive. In his own words, ” The series depicts the surprisingly diverse and slightly strange official insignia of the American states.”

Allison Parker is a proud stay at home mom maintaining a full schedule kissing boo boos and passing out hugs just because. Her days many times are spent between the garden and the kitchen. From a journey of learning whole food eating habits, she's taken on the challenges of baking bread, muffins and cakes from scratch and filling the cellar shelves with scores of her own canned goods each year. Writing is one of those things she does because its part of who she is. That and it's a nice break from the never ending work that comes with raising a family.
