We love a rebel, and for this reason, Steve McQueen, known for his anti-hero film roles, had the world on a string. In “Steve McQueen: KING OF COOL,” a collection of photographs taken by John Dominis over three weeks spent in Palm Springs, the Hollywood star is captured in his off-screen life, but with the same suave, effortlessly cool persona. The black-and-white photos depicting McQueen with his wife Niele Adams convey not only the rugged side of McQueen, but also his romantic. The range of McQueen’s expressions – from boyish grin to serious stare – remind us all, of the actor who embodied freedom, independence, and the courage to pursue both with reckless abandon.
