String Lights by Michael Anastassiades

Michael Anastassiades’ String Lights, created for Flos, are a minimalist, suspended design that is at once simple and bold. The design resembles a thin, floating pencil line, from which bright but understated lights illuminate the room. The designer explains that his sources of inspiration are the power transmission lines that connect pylons, creating elegant, parallel lines across the sky. He translates the disciplined aesthetic into interiors, crafting myriad linear designs that lend their environments a daring but subtle style.
