Tait Design Co. Turbo Flyer

More durable than the planes of my youth, Tait Design Co.’s “Turbo Flyers” can soar up to 50 feet without losing so much as a wingtip. The balsa wood pieces, including a 12” wing span, are fabricated at TechShop Detroit. Once they arrive at Tait’s Michigan headquarters, Matthew Tait hand-prints them in “Classic Black,” “Fire Red,” “Emerald Green,” or “Peacock Blue” ink. He secures the pieces in a cardboard wallet that Velcros shut, allowing for plane assembling on-the-go. Although the planes are currently sold out, you can take a look and enter your email to stay in the loop about when the next planes come flying in.
