This Room11 design, dubbed the Lookout House, was made in Port Arthur, Tasmania. Named for its glass facade and interior courtyard wall, the house allows for undisturbed views of Tasman Island and the Southern Ocean. While the front of the house is predominantly glass, the sides and back are clad with vertical planks of wood, and the rear is punctuated with a single octagonal window. The contemporary design is brought together under a triple-gabled roof, which makes the structure seem at once traditional and modern.
