The Alberschwende House by K M Architecture

The Alberschwende house’s architectural makeup consists of sleek lines and natural materials that zigzag into an organic Z shape. K M Architecture designed it along the outskirts of Alberschwende, Austria where it overlooks the hilly mountains to the south. It’s glass and wooden construction gorgeously stands out against its green surroundings. Private rooms exist on the top floor while the dining room, a large living room and a divider fireplace exist on the bottom floor. A big, wooden covered terrace connects the inside with the out through the floor to ceiling windows. This natural pine space transforms into a grayish hue through time thus changing its traditional rustic touch. The geothermal heating generates most of the energy radiating throughout the house and is accompanied by photovoltaic panels.
