The Beat-Shelf By Van Tjalle En Jasper

Dutch design duo Van Tjalle en Jasper challenged themselves to answer: “What would be the most iconic universal sign that could represent life?”  Well, it has to be the heartbeat line of course. With the intention of simplifying the icon without losing its power, the Beat-Shelf was born. Its iconic shape of angles and spikes makes it quite the extra functional bookshelf as one can place any reading material in some unique poses, perhaps to use its spikes to place the book you’re currently reading open right where you stopped.  The Beat-Shelf can come in American walnut, olive ash, solid oak, or birch plywood, with custom made suspension for easy and clean mounting to the wall.
