The Federal Espresso Set

The Federal, a Canadian design company, has unveiled the prototype for an espresso set made with 3D printing. Revising the usual cup o’ Joe, they designed a rectangular mug with one rounded lip from which to drink. The shape may seem like a slippery choice–there’s no cupping this mug in your hands; there’s not even a handle. But, its boxiness makes for a fresh look and saves space, allowing the espresso set of two mugs, a sugar dish, and a spoon to nest neatly inside a tray. Altogether, the set’s innovative touches and classic white ceramic are posed to catch the eye of coffee enthusiasts worldwide.
