The Light Phone

We’re connected to the world more than ever before. Smartphones in our pockets give us access to every bit of information we need and don’t know we need. The whole internet, with both relevant and procrastinating-tier content, at the end of our fingertips. Smartphones are, in many ways, an indispensable tool. Light aims to change the way we relate to these small and powerful objects. Not necessarily to return to simpler times, but to rediscover the quiet moments. To have a choice.

The Light Phone was created by designers Joel Hollier and Kaiwei Tang, co-founders of the company. Modern and minimalist, it takes the place of an app-filled device, providing only a call function. It has its own SIM but works with the owner’s smartphone number. This means that one can leave the smartphone at home and take The Light Phone for important calls only. A great idea for a wide range of activities. From camping trips to dinners with friends. An afternoon on the beach or a day in the park. Or even just for that espresso cup on Saturday mornings while sitting on the terrace of a corner coffee shop, watching the world go by. Available to both US and international customers, The Light Phone comes in matte white and matte black versions. Photographs© Light.
