The Panorama House in Sainte-Adèle, Canada

View all 14 Photos

Found in Sainte-Adèle, Canada, the Panorama House is a contemporary cottage by Blouin Tardif Architecture-Environnement. The home is a rectangular volume with a pitched metal roof and Eastern cedar shingles stained in a dark shade of brown. Inside and out, the doors are painted orange, a bright motif which stands out from the otherwise neutral color palette. The spaces within the home are arranged for optimal lighting and panoramic views during the day and utmost privacy at night. Hence, the bedrooms and garage are on the shaded ground floor, while the dining room, kitchen, living room, washroom, and porch are on the upper level. From their elevated position, these spaces receive plenty of sun and superior sightlines.
