Located in one of the most environmentally friendly parts of Sweden, the Silvervillan house has a wonderful purpose in creating a comforting environment using eco-conscious solutions. Sjoberg & Therme architects designed this home in the southern part of Sweden where a way of life is all about organic farming. Created to minimize heat loss, the home has a halogen free wiring system, environmental insulation and a sun catcher that can heat the home through Sweden’s most brutal winters. On the outside, the façade is made from a pinewood and is painted in copperasto to mimic the same atmosphere of the weather stained homes in the northern part of the country. The entrance is made partially from glass to allow light to enter the entire house. An open area with an expanse of space brings in an abundance of natural light through the windows and makes up the kitchen, living room, and dining room.
