Scandinavian design has always delivered a bit of a natural and simplistic look about it. Well, not only are these eye-catching sculptures by Oslo designers StokkeAustad and Andreas Engesvik made from natural blown-glass, they even resemble trees.
Dubbed with the apropos title of The Woods, the seven-sculpture set features different proportions and color tints, supported on gravity-defying glass stems.
“The inspiration was found in the forests and the lights of the North,” says Andreas. “A tree changing colors and transparency through the seasons is a fascinating process which was captured in this glass object.”
These seamless designs will be presented as part of the upcoming Stockholm Design Week.
