Ready-to-assemble furniture takes on a new work flow. Leveraging the far-reaching online network, James McBennett offers a new mode of operation called Fabsie, which allows designers to share their product specs for customers to choose and source from a local craftsman. The first Fabsie product will rock the world of ready-mades. “This Stool Rocks” is a seat that features two interlocking J’s as the legs, with the tail of the letter forming the base upon which the stool can sway back and forth. Variations on the degree of rock-ability, as well as customization options in terms of seat engravings and colors, are also available. As will be the plan for forthcoming products on Fabsie, the stool is CNC-cut for easy assembly and distribution. Available through Kickstarter
