Times 4 is a smartly organized piece of furniture envisioned by the Portuguese designer Gonçalo Campos for the French brand Polit. Inspired by a pie chart, the round coffee table is divided into four color-coded interior sections, which are exposed one by one via rotation. The compartments can be used for sorting, storing, and displaying different types of objects, activities, or times of the day—the choice is left to the user. Each quarter is made of metal and finished with a matte lacquer so that it stands out from the white metal frame and the naturally finished beech wood tabletop and legs. Together, the partitions make up a whole representation of one’s interests and personality while enabling the individual to slide the tabletop and smoothly transition from one theme to another.
